LostLight is a non-profit organization dedicated to the discovery, preservation, creation and dissemination of visual records of cultures and ways of life that no longer exist or are in danger of disappearing.

This web site serves two primary functions. It displays photographs in our roster of current projects, and makes it possible for viewers to add historical documentation, perspective or insight to each individual image. To participate in this effort, simple registration is required.

This web site also makes it possible for visitors to easily post their own portfolios of photographs of "lost light" and make their existence and significance known to a wider community.
